Entry requirements and how to apply

Entry qualification and requirements
Undergraduate diploma (or higher) N.B. for non-EU/EFTA applicants: the gap since your completed Bachelor degree should not exceed five years. Applicants must have completed core mathematics courses typically covered in the first four semesters of mathematics or related degree programmes (computer science, physics, data science, etc.). These courses, or their equivalents, should include: Calculus I, II, III or Analysis; Algebra / Linear Algebra; Differential Equations; Probability; Discrete Mathematics / Logic. Only candidates with a minimum overall grade average of 6 out of 10 (accordingly, GPA ≥ 1.7; letter grade C-) are eligible for admission. A minimum grade of 5 out of 10 (accordingly, GPA ≥ 1.3; letter grade C- or D+) is required in the core mathematics subjects. The sufficiency of the courses taken and the grades obtained by the candidates is decided by the Mathematics Study Programme Admission Committee based on the submitted Bachelor’s degree documents. If necessary, the programme admission committee may conduct a remote interview with the candidate, during which questions will be asked and tasks provided to test knowledge. Language requirements
English IELTS Academic 6.5+, Cambridge English Exam 176+, Duolingo English Test 120+, LanguageCert IESOL B2, Oxford ELLT 7+, Password Skills Plus 6.5+, Pearson PTE Academic 59+, TOEFL iBT 81+ or another language proficiency certificate equivalent to B2 CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). If your first language is English and/or if your previous educational degree was in English, you will be exempt from providing an English language test score.
Other requirements
At least 2 reference(s) should be provided. A motivation letter must be added to your application. Applicants from non-EU/EFTA countries are required to pass the OMPT -E exam (Online Mathematics Placement Test) with a score of at least 70%. The Admissions Committee evaluates the qualifications of applicants and invites them to a motivational interview only after receiving the OMPT -E exam results (with a score above 70%).
