Entry qualification and requirements
Undergraduate / Bachelor's Degree (or higher) Application requirements: -a Bachelor Degree in English Studies or a BA Degree in History, Liberal Arts, German Studies, French Studies, Italian Studies, Spanish Studies, Hungarian Language and Literature if the applicant has 50 completed credits in English/American Linguistics and Language, American History, Culture and Literature, Political Science, Modern Civilisation, -an international certificate of advanced (C1 level) command of English is compulsory, -a letter of motivation ( NOT AI generated!) in English and -an online interview. The online examination concerns general knowledge of American Studies, BA level, current research interest as well as future research plans. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / French / Spanish / Russian / Italian / Hungarian. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Academic Records in the original language of issue, and a certified translation is mandatory if the original document is not in English/French or bilingual. Certification

English Accepted proof of proficiency: FCE, CAE or CPE, IELTS 7+ or TOEFL 100+ Language requirements: An international certificate of advanced (C1 level) command of English is compulsory ( IELTS Band: min. 7, or TOEFL Score: 93 – 113, or TOEFL ITP Score: min 627, or Cambridge Advanced English [CAE]) / another certificate of advanced command (C1 level) of English (Pearson, Language Cert, Oxford Placement Test) issued by an accredited language center after a successful four-skill examination of English). Duolingo Tests are NOT accepted!
