- Undergraduate diploma (or higher) Previous education: – First higher education or an equivalent higher education in social sciences or information and communication technologies; or – First-cycle higher education, or an equivalent qualification in other sciences, with at least two years of professional experience in process management or in a role related to information security; English language proficiency Passed entrance examination Applicants must submit a CV for the assessment of their work experience EU/EEA/Swiss citizens, EU long-term resident status holders and Ukrainian civilians with temporary protection status obtained in the Republic of Latvia can compete for a state-funded study place (application deadline 5 July 2026) Formula for calculating the admissions score for applicants applying for a state-funded study place: Entrance examination (interview in English + presentation on the prospective Master’s thesis direction/topic + assessment of experience + assessment of motivation) (1 × 1000 = 1000) Applicants whose previous education was not obtained in a European Union (EU) or European Economic Area ( EEA ) country, or in the Swiss Confederation, must provide one of the

- English Applicants must prove their English language knowledge. University accepts the following international language tests: LanguageCert International ESOL at least Level Communicator B2 (Written and Spoken exams); TOEFL IBT – at least score 80 TOEFL Essential – at least 9 points IELTS – at least score 6.00 PTE General – at least level B2 PTE Academic – at least 55 points FCE – at least level B CPE – Proficiency/C2 Proficiency: any level CAE – C1 Advanced: any level Applicants who have obtained previous education in English in one of the bellow listed countries do not need to provide separate language proficiency: • Australia • The Bahamas • Canada • Ireland • New Zealand • St Vincent and the Grenadines • United Kingdom • United States of America *Foreign nationals who are citizens of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the Swiss Confederation may also prove their language proficiency by means of a language assessment included in their secondary or prior higher education certificate, which is recognised as equivalent to at least a B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ( CEFR ).

- All non-EU/EEA/Swiss applicants, except University of Latvia graduates, will be required to take part in an online interview as part of the admissions process.
