About this programme

The Master's degree programme in "Sustainable Mining and Remediation Management" provides students with knowledge and skills for independent scientific work in the fields of sustainable mining, mine rehabilitation and revitalisation. Their scientific skills should enable them to take on management responsibility. The degree programme is based on Germany's globally unique expertise in mining remediation, particularly for uranium, lignite and ore mining. It was created as a concept for a unique, research-oriented degree programme. It combines natural sciences, engineering and economics as well as environmental law and georesource management.
