The University of Geneva's campus-life pages state: 'Le coût des taxes semestrielles est de 500 CHF par semestre (65 CHF de taxes fixes et 435 CHF de taxes d'encadrement).' Two semesters make CHF 1,000 a year. A student with a statutory exemption or in financial hardship pays only the CHF 65 fixed part. Applying costs a one-off CHF 50 for holders of a Swiss qualification and CHF 150 for holders of a foreign one. The page does not set out a separate rate for foreign students.
