Undergraduate study at Argentina's national universities carries no tuition fee. Law 27.204 guarantees free public higher education; decree 366/2025 limited that guarantee to Argentine citizens and foreigners with permanent residence and allowed universities to charge foreigners who come to the country to study, but as of 2026 no national university has introduced such a fee, so an international student still pays nothing for a first degree. Postgraduate programmes at these universities normally do charge, and each sets its own fee.
